A roadside restaurant owner and two helpers, one of them an employee, were arrested from central Kolkata early on Wednesday for allegedly lynching a pavement dweller, Ayush Julka (26).
They were sent to the police cell until February 15.
Jhulka, who was sleeping on the pavement near R Ahmed Dental College at night, was found dead on February 6 around 1:50 am. The body bore no external injury, but bleeding from the nose and mouth was found.
Cops from Muchipara PS formed special teams after the postmortem surgeon informed them that Jhulka had multiple internal injuries, including ruptured organs.
